06 December 2012: Things are going well. Despite the so-called crisis and the fact that most companies are thorugh their budgets now, I keep receiving job offers. Most of them are not interesting to me, and for some reason a number of headhunters believe I am specialized in Business Intelligence... which I am not. I also see a number of interesting positions, at the right level but unfortunately permanent. I am surprised - maybe companies don’t fully realize the opportunity present in hiring expertise on a temporary basis.
23 November 2012: my new website was accessed by three times more people on the day of its launch. Very happy about it. As of today, my corporate Twitter account is followed by 3.278 persons, and I am connected to 415 persons on Linkedin. Not bad, but it can be a lot better.
The market for contractors with my skills remains a bit slow, while there are plenty of permanent positions available. I have received a number of offers of both types, but none of them was at the right level. I will keep waiting - not in a rush, and I want to find the right contract and the right customer.
22 November 2012: I decided to offer my experience and knowledge in two fields, Twitter marketing and remote work solutions. I have already received several demonstrations of interest concerning the first, and I am certain there are many companies interested in decreasing overhead costs doing something as easy and cost effective as remote working.
20 November 2012: I finally found the time to revamp my web site. The previous one was not satisfactory anymore.
